The Aachen debating society was founded on 2nd of April, 2008. Shortly thereafter it was registered as a non-profit association. The purpose of the society is to promote a culture of healthy debate and discussions. Since 25. September 2008, the society is one of 70 members of the „Verband der Debattierclubs an Hochschulen e.V.“ (www.vdch.de).
